Anna Izzo

Anna Izzo
is an Italian Artist and Designer born in Taranto. Anna revealed her precocious artistic vocation when still a young teenager before Sorrento's dazzling seas where she lived with her parents, her father a reputed gallery owner in the town.
Anna had instinct, passion, an inner call, an imperious urge towards self -expression. Leading French and Neapolitan Pop- Art and nouveau realism artists, whom she met regularly at her father’s gallery, influenced her work from the start.
At 19 she moves to Rome to start a degree in Psychology due to her fascination with the unfathomable depths of the unconscious.

Throughout her professional career the recurrent topic of her works is woman with all her sensuality and feminine objects: shoes, legs, bags and dresses become sculptures in bronze, iron and resin or paintings and furnishings.
Anna Izzo has been exhibited internationally in New York, Amsterdam, Moscow, Lugano, Rome, Milan, Naples and Capr

Anna Izzo today is a well-rounded artist: a painter, sculptress and designer, she works between Rome and Siena. She is recognised for her accomplished functional art designs in metallic resins, bronze and steel, each piece a limited art design edition.
