Cecil's Fool at Broken Head

Size on canvas 920x1180mm
The Linnaeus Project is an arts and environment
educational development of eco-friendly houses
and club facilities reached by this path from the
utterly unspoiled Broken Head beach, which runs
between Broken Head and Lennox Head
in northern New South Wales.
Cecil Collins, painter, poet and
friend of the environment would have felt
utterly at home there. This is a respectful homage
to his way of thought.
The village fool in Georgian times was always
dressed in bright clothing so that if you asked a
question you did not expect a sensible reply.
They also slept a lot.
