Alfred at the Boating Pond

The boating pond is in the Luxembourg Gardens.
Children hire small model sailing yachts,
complete with a retrieval stick with a hook
on the end of it for just a few centimes and sail
them on the pond - having hours of fun.
Winter and summer.
It has been a feature of the gardens
for generations.
David has substituted the ‘parkies’ yachts for
something more in the style of Alfred Wallis,
and the open sea for the pond.
