Frangipan

The glorious sub tropical frangipani is a small
succulent tree, originally from Mexico, which now grows
in profusion in South East Asia, the South Pacific,
the Caribbean, South America and sub tropical Australia.
New species of this very attractive plant are being
bred all the time and this cultivar, ‘Plumeria Rubra’ is
one of them.
They are prized not only for their exotic colours but also
their delicious perfume – at it’s strongest as daylight
fades into dusk - attracting birds and insects and, when
worn in the hair of a beautiful woman – men.
This one is in the garden of Paul’s property in Byron Bay.
