Lewisia

The small, intensely coloured Lewisia flower
was discovered on the first successful
crossing of the American continent by the
Meriwether–Lewis expedition.
Paul photographed it’s descendant growing
happily in a plant pot in his London garden.
To which David’s clear response was:-
if we are going to have a riot of colour,
let’s have a serious one!
